Double-Twisted PVC Coated Green Color Gabion Woven Wire Basket
Products Description:
Gabion Baskets are double-twisted hexagonal, woven galvanized steel wire mesh baskets with a rectangular box shape. The compartments or cells are of equal size and dimension and are formed by internal diaphragms being placed within the basket. The compartments or cells are filled with natural stone and the diaphragms minimize stone migration within the basket providing even distribution of the stone fill throughout the basket, even after structural movement. Gabion Baskets feature a rigid structure, durable life and greater strength for both engineering constructions and architectural decorations.

Applications / Uses of Gabions :
Gabions have been around for over a hundred years and have a wide range of applications and new ones are continually being found. We have listed below the most common applications to date, manufactured using either woven double twisted or welded square mesh.
- Retaining wall structures
- Gabion revetments
- Canal and river walling
- Rock-fall protection
- Weir Structures
- Gabion fencing
- Coastal protection
- Protection of bridge and culverts
- Bridge abutments
Advantages of Gabions
- Exemplary modularity and ability to stack in various sizes and shapes,
- Gabion structures are capable of resisting any types of stresses, bending, tensile and shear.
- Gabion structures can accommodate differential settlements without disturbing the structural integrity.
- The permeability characteristics of Gabion structures eliminate the problems caused in RCC structures, such as soil instability, water logged backfills/foundation etc.
- Gabion and gabion es are backed with well documented research and certifications concerning durability of the structure
