Slope Stabilisation And Erosion Protection Welded Mesh Gabion
Product Introduction:
Weldmesh Gabions are typically supplied in 50.8mmx 50.8mm, 76.2mm x 76.2mm, 50.8mmx 101.6mm aperture welded mesh and provided in Zinc coated triple life corrosion protection as standard, optional PVC coating or stainless steel wire are also available.
Weldmesh Gabions are typically used to create free draining gravity retaining structures in slope stabilisation and erosion protection applications. The infilled gabions can be used to secure erosive landscapes and provide structural support for applications such as bridge abutments, wing walls and outlet aprons, our weldmesh gabions can also be used to clad unsightly areas to improve aesthetics.
The individual wires are machine welded at each intersection to form a robust panel. The units are formed by hinging each panel together to form a box. Our welded gabions are supplied flat packed to site. Individual units are then constructed using either helical joints wire.
You can choose from galvanised or PVC coated (plastic coated ) wire in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm diameter. The galvanised units are coated to BSEN ISO 10244-2 and the plastic coated/PVC coated version offers even greater corrosion resistance with an impressive design life of up to 120 years – even in harsh environment.
